The District Days Cultural Arts Fest is an exciting celebration that honors the rich legacy and cultural contributions of Central Texas’ Black community and provides a gathering place for everyone to enjoy Austin’s unique black arts, music, history, and culture.
Festivities are held each year during Labor day weekend at Huston-Tillotson University, with musical performances from international, national and local acts inspired from Africa and the African Diaspora. Previous performers include Carolyn Blanchard & the Jazz All Stars, Magna Carda, Tobe Nwigwe, Sona Jobarteh and Grammy nominated artist Mali Music. Unlimited food and adult beverages are also provided during the festival.
